China Commercial Lam Lee Lai (Qianhai·Pingshan) Associate Law Firm
On May 20, 2020, China Commercial Lam Lee Lai (Qianhai · Pingshan) Law Firm was officially established with approval, which is China’s first Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao associate branch in Pingshan. Its establishment is a significant initiative signifying the internationalization of the Chinese legal industry and the continuous innovation and progress of China’s legal cause, for achieving cross regional and cross jurisdictional cooperation in legal affairs between Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao. It has nearly 100 professionals in various fields, including multiple practicing lawyers from Hong Kong, Macau, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and other regions and countries, including 45 lawyers from Mainland China and 24 lawyers from Hong Kong and Macau. Over 95% of its lawyers own a Master’s Degree or above, including six PhDs, and more than one-third have overseas educational backgrounds.
It adheres to the service philosophy of “the law creates value,” continuously innovates professional service models, and bravely assumes social responsibility, showcasing its professionalism to all sectors of society. After its establishment, it was shortlisted in the “Top Ten Legal Events” in Shenzhen in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2019. Its two initiatives were awarded the title of “Top 40 Events in Guangdong’s Lawyer Industry over the 40 Years of China’s Reform and Opening up.” It was also nominated for the 2018 Mergers and Acquisitions Awards (ALB). It ranked among the “Top Ten Hong Kong Enterprises in Qianhai.” What’s more, it made headlines on the Central News Broadcast four times.
The Branch’s business spans areas such as capital markets and major transactions legal services, cross-border investment and financing legal services, overseas corporate governance and compliance legal services, diversified cross-border dispute resolution legal services, governments and state-owned enterprises’ foreign-related legal services, etc. Focusing on the national development strategy and the overall situation of China’s reform and opening up, the Branch also led the establishment of Qianhai Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao-Greater Bay Area Entrepreneur Alliance, Shenzhen Qianhai Belt and Road Legal Service Federation, Shenzhen Maker Law Center, China Commercial Law Firm’s Legal Service Center for Compliance Affairs, China Commercial Law Firm’s Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute and other platforms. The Branch has established China’s first Guangdong-Hong Kong associate law firm branch in Guangzhou and another branch in Pingshan, Shenzhen. With cooperative law firms or institutions established in 82 countries or regions, the Branch has cultivated the capabilities to provide a diverse range of foreign-related legal services and assistance.
