According to statistics in the work report issued by the Supreme Prosecutor, in 2023, procuratorial organs had "zero tolerance"for crimes against minors, including sexual assault, injury and abuse, and prosecuted 67,000 people, a year-on-year increase of 14.9 percent. For minors involved in crimes, they adhere to the policy of education, probation and salvation, and 31,000 of them are not prosecuted conditionally in accordance with the law for minor cases; 39,000 of them are prosecuted in accordance with the law for serious crimes. Minors are the future of the country and the hope of the nation; the environment in which they grow up and the quality of their education are directly related to the future of the country and the fate of the nation. And currently, the protection of minors faces many challenges, including bullying in schools, Internet addiction, and mental health problems. These issues require professional organizations and personnel to conduct research and respond. The establishment of China Commercial Education and Minors Protection Committee can integrate the resources of all parties, form a synergy, and promote the professionalization and systematic development of minors protection.
China Commercial Education and Minors' Protection Committee consists of two centers, Legal Service Center for Minors' Protection and Education Compliance Center, which are dedicated to guiding and promoting Chinese lawyers to provide more professional legal services in the field of minors' protection and education services through participation in legislation, seminars, empirical research, case handling, legal education and cross-sector cooperation. In order to play an active role in the education of minors, prevention and reduction of juvenile delinquency, promotion of healthy growth of minors, and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of minors.
